ZERO WASTE

Good for you – good for the planet

Clothing production is usually associated with fabric wastage and waste generation – when a garment is cut out, fabric scraps are left over that cannot be reused.

Our ZERO WASTE designs do things differently – we have brought this to life and will be showcasing it in our shop windows in Basel, Bern and Zurich over the coming weeks.

The pattern pieces fit together like a jigsaw puzzle – in a symbiotic interplay where one shape determines its counterpart. Fabric widths are utilised to the full and scraps are reused as pockets – every scrap of material is put to use. The result is pure design whose simplicity reminds us of the natural expressiveness of the kimono.

To make a ZERO WASTE jacket, we need around 80 cm of fabric without producing any waste, whereas a similar short jacket requires twice as much material and generates a lot of fabric scraps.

ZERO WASTE does good and brings joy – take a look!
